I'M BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mon Nov 2, 2009, 6:18 AM
Alright, so I took a break from uploading my own pictures in order to study the talents of other amazing Deviant artists. I knew that if I ever wanted to get better, I'd have to start imitating other styles, until I could get a feel for my own freehand.

So, after months of not uploading anything, I've uploaded some fan art that's just a glimpse of what I'm going to add in the future. I have some original art for the novel I want to begin someday, which keeps growing bigger and bigger inside my head. But I won't add it quite yet, until I can ink it in.

Anyways, one of the artists that really helped me, just because of her amazing art, was burdge-bug. (I'm sorry, I don't know how to add those little link things, but look her up- she's freaking amazing!!!)

It was because of her that I could finally start drawing better guys and bodies. Also, I practiced and practiced until my fingers itched to poke my own eyes out!!!

That's it, my friends. The key to being an artist: Practice, practice, practice, until your own pencils and other utensils turn on you!

That's all for now. I hope everyone enjoys my (improved??) art. Any feedback/critique is always welcome.

Happy November all, just because it's a beautiful day!

My Birthday

Today was my birthday, and I turned fifteen years old... wow, only one more year before I can apply for driver's ed! WOOT! My mom is scared at the thought of me driving. lol. It was a pretty quiet day because my mom had to work, so I sat around the house, finished a chapter of the book I'm writing, watched a bunch of taped Clas of the Titans episodes, and drew a really pretty piece of Jay and Theresa fan art. Then when Mom came home we had pizza, and I got a book for my gift. It's called "The Truth-Teller's Tale" by Sharon Shinn, and I can't wait to start reading it! Yawn... school tommorow... I don't want to go! I want at least one more day to relax! Apparently we're supposed to get more snow this week... Gotta brace myself for it...

MARCH BREAK! WOOT!

Sun Mar 9, 2008, 4:51 PM
Dear Journal,
It's finally Marc break, and I'm so glad. I wasn't able to tape my show on Sunday because of the beginning of Daylight Saving's Time, but oh well. It has to rerun sometime:P. Anyways, good news. I was able to pre-order the next Maximum Ride book, and I was able to pre-order the new Class o the Titans DVD, Trojan Horse. I can't wait for it to come out! :)
Tommorow I'm going to visit my older sister, who lives in the city, in a tiny apartment overlooking the Rideau Canal. I haven't seen her for awhile, so I'm really excited. My little sister isn't feeling very well, though, so it may be a really quiet day tommorow.
Oh my gosh, it snowed so much over the weekend. It was like, three feet of snow. My dad had to get up at like 6:oo today to go out and shovel snow. Then on Friday, I had to deliver newspapers, and it took longer than usual because my sister had a little deal with her friends to deliver theirs, and then they would help with ours. Except that it took way longer than we thought, and I was SO MAD. So that's never gonna happen again.
Only three more weeks until my birthday!

Dear Journal,
What a week! I have a test on geography tommorow, and then I have a test in English Friday. Then I'm going to have a geography project, not to mention the usual English assignments.
The worst part is that I haven't really studied for my tests yet. I know I should, it's just that I HATE studying. I really don't care about any subject except those that are going to get me into a good animation college and writer's college.
Then there's the fact that I have to get braces. I'm not even sure we can afford them right now.
The good thing is that I've had alot of people commenting on my work since I joined. I thank God for that!
I can't wait for the next Maximum Ride book to come out! It's called the Final Warning, and it's about global warming and stuff. I don't believe global warming will cause our Earth to explode with heat or anything, but I do believe we should take care of our environment. That's because I believe that we should take care of what God gave us, not because the world's going to spontaneously combust or anything. lol.
Anyways, can't wait for March Break... the week after that, on Easter Monday, it's my birthday! WOOT! lol.
